The Unfolding Scars

Photo courtesy of Savannah Class / Unsplash For the longest time, I have put on a face, tried to look okay, and found comfort in self-development articles. Well today, I just realize there is just some internal damage resting inside that erupts in the worst moments of life. Have you heard of this person who just finds peace in solitude, always staying locked at home, with a mirror as a best friend and comfort? That's a self-description. And just as a friend, there are days you don't get along with the image on the other side of the mirror. So, there I sit looking at the image on the other side of the mirror. Most times I see potential in the person but other times, it just shows how broken the person is. Your smile does crazy things with it but shows no sympathy when you are at the worst. However, I tend to believe I am my best comfort. Other than the mirror is a mind always racing with thoughts and fantasies. Filled with words and events in reality I cannot do. At some point, ...

6 Movies/series with the best fashion sense

For the majority love for movies and fashion did this topic pop. We binge watch for different reasons. Others could be for entertainment, some an escape from work or studies, but looking for fashion or style inspo could be another valid aspect. As we grow fashion and style become part of us, and at a point defines our lifestyle. To some extent, it wears us the confidence to be us out there. Apart from the storyline, the style also speaks for itself in movies by giving characters a personality. If you are a stylist you may opt for inspiration from these movies and series.

1. Clueless

From the 1995, it's got to be among the best influencers of fashion. You should check out the incredible themed outfits of Amber. What of the plaid skirt and top duo by Alicia! Basically, all the cast in it has a great fashion sense to envy.

2. Her

This movie might be what led to the desire for high-waisted pants, especially by a character, Joaquin. This is a sci-fi thriller that includes an exploration of the dangers of artificial intelligence. An iconic look for men here includes high-waisted pleat trousers, granddad collar shirt, slouchy suits, making the future feel closer than ever.

3. Riverdale

A teen series that consists of a group of friends striving to be agile at school as they unravel the secrets hidden in the small town. Just like any high school, it's sufficed with gangs, drugs, friendship, and above all competitive fashion. You might feel lost if you didn't consider style there. One character who stands out is Veronica (Camilla Mendes) who carries the allure of New York fashion into the new school. You can expect plaid dresses, Peter pan collars, pearl necklaces, preppy headbands, leather skirts, stilettos, among others.

4. Gossip Girl

The drama and cult series consists of teens with tons of money, and twice as much style. Two best friends, Serena Woodsen and Blair Waldorf step into New York wearing high society. Serena would go with flowy trousers, with structured jackets as Blair stands out with high-stylish blouses, structured tweets, and hair accessories.

5. Pretty Little Liars

This cult based film is a deliberate wardrobe envy. With five girls different personalities all come out with an impeccable fashion sense. If you aren't impressed with one girl's style, you will surely like another. From the glam girl (Hanna), the edgy girl (Aria), the sporty girl (Emily), the girly one (Alison), and the preppy girl (Spencer), all inspire different people in their unique styles.

6. Scandal

The fashion sense in it is also on the flare. The wardrobe of the initial White House Communication Director is a reference for snappy work outfits. Despite the challenges faced in the White House and a rocky relationship with the President, Olivia Pope has maintained her style. She could be seen with trench coats, white power suits, sleek capes, open-collar oversized coats. She simply gives professional attire a look of chic.

My Latest Travel Experience

Adventure at Camp Ndunda As I sat on my bed thinking of what to publish in my next post, I couldn’t help but obey the after-effects of my excursion last weekend. The experience was so captivating that I thought it would be best to put it on record. So, my friends and I went camping at Camp Ndunda Falls in Embu from Friday to Sunday. This was my first camping trip. It was also in honor of a friend's birthday. Simply a whole weekend with friends out there experiencing nature. It was one of a kind. We set off in the afternoon and arrived at around 7 pm. The reception right from the gate was at its best. Upon checking in, they did not waste time to give us a guide to help us settle; that is, to our tents, setting us a bonfire and leading us to where we had our supper. Talking of supper, they have flavorful meals to die for, especially their platters. We then got ourselves psyched out for the weekend by jamming into some of our playlists and around a bonfire to sway the night aw...

3 Songs I Can't Get out of My Mind

Photo by Elice Moore from Unsplash.com Music is part of life and a kind of a free lifestyle anyone can access. The rhymes and beats ringing in our minds have a special kind of peace, relaxation, and refreshment . These effects of music trigger one to turn on their playlists or radio while cooking, cleaning, or doing other manual work, or while sitting alone in a vehicle traveling, when bored, among others. The thrill and enchantment help boost mood. Alongside that, the music carries important messages as most artists speak their minds in their songs. About 68 percent of adults aged 18-34 years old listen to music every day. I have come up with a list of 3 songs I can't get out of my mind for like a month. These songs are not particularly new but have a special place in my heart. 1. Déjà vu by Naika  Déjà vu  is on top of my list. I heard a clip of this song a few months ago, but I just passed through it. I came across the artist, Naika , and the entire piece recently, and oh...
